Liverpool 08/09 away shirt

For the 2008/09 season this Liverpool FC away football shirt is evocative of Liverpool away shirts of the late ‘80s . Very similar to the 89/91 away kit, this shirt was worn during the triumphant 89/90 season, when the Reds won the old Division One. Also worn during the 1–0 victory over Arsenal in the 89–90 Charity Shield. This Liverpool shirt is part of a classic-looking yet striking all–gray kit.

Manufactured by Adidas, the shirt is mostly gray with a nifty sublimated checkerboard pattern. Red trim along the back shoulder and on the rounded collar. Finished off by the famous adidas three stripes running along the sleeves. Manufacturer logo in the center near the collar, classic Liverpool F.C. crest on the chest complete with “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, and sponsor(Carlsberg) wordmark & logo across the front. LFC logo sublimated on the back neck. Made with adidas Climalite365 material. Better still, there are no itchy labels on the back of the shirt. All labels stitched to the side seam.

Liverpool is one of the world’s iconic clubs and this Liverpool kit is worthy of such greatness. It would look great with a GERRARD – 8, TORRES – 9, or even KUYT – 18 on the back. I personally think Kuyt is one of the hardest–working players of his generation, so that’s the one I want.

I don’t like the grey jersey as Liverpool should be RED. Anyway, I’ll collect them. :D
