We have just taken delivery of some official 2008-09 Benfica home football shirts with authentic Pablo Aimar shirt printing. The shirts are manufactured by Adidas, and are available in limited quantities in sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL. The shirts come printed with the name and number 10 of the Argentine international star and are already proving a big hit as stocks are moving quickly.

Aimar joined Benfica for 6.5 million euros in the summer of 2008 following the relegation from La Liga of Real Zaragoza, where he had spent two seasons. He was one of a number of new arrivals at the Portuguese club, including Honduran forward David Suazo and former Arsenal star Jose Antonio Reyes.

Pablo Aimar started his career at River Plate, netting 21 goals in 83 games before securing a big money move to Spain, joining Valencia for 24 million euros. The purchase proved justified, as Aimar helped lead the team to a first-place finish in the 2001-02 Spanish season as well as finishing runners-up in the 2001 UEFA Champions League final, in which they were defeated by Bayern Munich. Aimar also won the UEFA Cup with Valencia, defeating Olympique Marseille in 2004.

He was to join Zaragoza in the summer of 2006. Aimar has also made over 50 appearances for the Argentine national team.
