Spurs new striker Roman Pavlyuchnko has started to make his mark on English football after a shaky start. It was hard to judge the Russian when he first came because of the turmoil surrounding Tottenham at the time but many were starting to question whether Spurs had signed the right Russian.

Russia had an excellent Euro 2008 with Arshavin and Pavlyuchenko the stand out for the team. Both had been linked with a move to Spurs in the summer but Zenit wanted too much money for their star man. Arshavin was the man everyone wanted to see in the Premiership and I think it is safe to say everyone was a little dissapointed when he didn’t go this season. Pavlyuchenko performed well at the Euros but still doesn’t look the finished article however he is starting to settle in now and has started scoring goals.

The Russian striker looks like playing a key role at Spurs under Harry Redknapp and if he can keep up his scoring run he could be a Spurs legend before you know it.
